Woven Winter Wreaths, Sunday, December 6
1-3 pm
Make a wreath from the ground up. In this workshop, you’ll start with fresh branches and weave your own wreath base, then dress it with local winter greens and botanicals.
We’ll begin by learning to bend, wire, wrap, and tuck fresh branches into a sturdy, organic ring. No two bases come out the same, and the slight wildness of each one is part of its charm. Then we’ll work in an asymmetrical, layered style, choosing from an assortment of locally sourced evergreens, foliage, cones, grasses, and dried botanicals. The result is not your typical tidy holiday wreath, but something looser and more alive, with movement, texture, and a foraged, natural look.
You’ll leave with a finished wreath, ready to hang, and the know-how to weave and build your own again next season.
No experience needed, and all materials are provided.
Please note: Due to space limitations, each registration includes one person and one wreath. We love when friends or partners join—just be sure each person has their own registration.
