Schefflera arboricola is an easygoing tropical plant with daisy-shaped, umbrella-like green leaf sprouts.
CARE + MAINTENANCE
Light + temperature
Medium to bright indirect light in the sunny months. Move your Schefflera closer to the window during the wintertime if skies are cloudy and dark.
Maintain indoor temperatures of 65-70° F
Humidity not required.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry out entirely, then thoroughly soak the soil when you water.
Toxic to pets.
Prune regularly by trimming leggy stems to encourage new growth, if you do so desire.
Why does my Schefflera have brown tips? OR Why does my Schefflera have fungus gnats flying around its soil?
Not to worry! Just reduce your watering schedule and you shouldn't see any more brown forming on the leaves. You do not have to remove leaves that have brown tips or edges. Fungus gnats (which look like fruit flies) also go away when watering is reduced.
Why ismy Schefflera crispy?
Crispy leaves and stems indicate that your plant needs more water and/or humidity. Water about once every 7-10 days.
Why ismy Schefflera droopy?
Your plant simply needs more sunlight. Place it closer to a light source and it should perk right up!
