Also known as the "Friendship Plant" or "Chinese Money Plant," Pilea Peperomioides is a striking tropical plant that famously sprouts baby plants or "pups" that can be propagated easily to share with friends.

Light + temperature

Temperature: 65°-80°F.

Light: Bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn leaves. 

Water requirements

Allow top few inches of soil to dry out between watering. 

Toxicity

Great for pet-loving households, pet safe and non-toxic.

Care tips

This plant is easy to over water, the stems will turn black and the plant will fall apart if it sits in water too long. Ensure this plant has great drainage and to water once the top few inches have dried out. 

Common issues

What do I do if my Pilea has yellow leaves?

Not to worry! Just reduce your watering schedule, the yellowing leaves may fall off; however new ones will emerge once the plant has recovered from over watering.
