Philodendron adansonii (also known as “Swiss cheese plant” or Philodendron Monstera Friedrichsthalii adansonii) are a rare treat to own, as they are one of the only plants found in the wild to naturally grow with such stunning holes in their leaves.
CARE + MAINTENANCE
Light + temperature
Medium to bright, indirect light.
Allow top inch of soil to dry out in between watering. Prefers high humidity.
Toxic to pets.
Swiss cheese plants love humidity and bright, indirect light. Allow the soil to almost entirely dry out between watering, as adansonii are susceptible to fungus gnats and root rot if their soil stays too moist.
Why are the leaves turning yellow?
This is a sign of over watering, make sure your adansoniihas proper drainage and water no more than once a week or until the top few inches of the soil are dry.
