Often confused with the Easter or Thanksgiving cactus, the Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera russelliana) is a favorite during the holidays. Blooming stunning flowers of either white, pink, or purple, these cactuses may look like you can find them in the desert but they are actually native to the tropical forests of Brazil. These are also beautiful in any winter hanging basket or container as long as they have room to stretch and drape.
- Care Difficulty: Easy
- Partial shade/ low light. Only full sun in the winter, summer full sun will cause yellowing
- Water when 2" soil is dry in the winter. In the summer water when top soil is dry.
- Toxic to pets if a large amount is consumed.
