Calathea makoyana, also known as peacock calathea, are known for their distinctive dark green and purple leaves with an almost feathery looking variegation. As will all calatheas, it likes a lot of humidity, and can be tricky for some new plant owners. But if given the proper lighting and water, this plant will thrive and brighten any space.
