Join us for a magical fall afternoon of besom-making, where you'll build and adorn your own witch's broom with dried flowers and botanicals. In Victorian households, the besom was never just a cleaning tool. Propped by the door, it stood guard at the threshold between the tidy home and the wild world outside. We're reviving a bit of that old charm, bundling twig and branch and dressing them in botanicals of your choosing.
Along the way, we'll dip into the Victorian language of flowers, where every bloom once carried a secret meaning: yarrow for courage, lavender for devotion, eucalyptus for protection. Since you'll choose your own combination, your finished broom becomes a spell all your own — ready to prop by the door, hang on the wall as witchy decor, or carry as the finishing touch on a costume. No floral experience required, just a willingness to work with your hands and learn something new.
