Pilea bronze is a gorgeous, shimmery variety of Pilea known for its textural foliage and ease of care. These are a wonderful choice for first-time plant owners, as they are tolerant of varying light conditions and don't mind being somewhat restricted in their pots if left in the same vessel for years.
CARE + MAINTENANCE
Light + temperature
Light: Bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn leaves. If light is too low, Pilea bronze will become leggy as it reaches for the sun.
Allow top few inches of soil to dry out between watering.
Great for pet-loving households, pet safe and non-toxic.
This plant is easy to over water, the stems will become soggy the plant will fall apart if it sits in water too long. Ensure this plant has great drainage and to water once the top few inches have dried out.
What do I do if the lower leaves of my Pilea turn brown and crispy or soggy and droopy?
Not to worry! With age Pilea plants naturally lose their lower leaves. Feel free to pinch them off if they bother you, otherwise you can allow them to drop on their own.
