Classic terracotta color and functionality, with a modern, minimal design that looks great both indoors and out. These terracotta pots are hand thrown by a company in Philadelphia that specializes in earthen vessels for plants. Each planter is made by hand and slightly unique, with faint thumbprint impressions left over from the making process.
by Palmer Planter Company
Established in early 2017 by sweethearts Daniel Ricardo Teran and Naomi Cleary, Palmer Planter Company offers quality alternatives to boring hardware store pots. Their production studio is located within Stenton Guild, a 27,000 square foot brick and steel building in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, and part of Philadelphia’s industrial past. The studio now uses wind-generated electricity.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Terracotta is naturally porous and therefore great for plants. The material breathes and drains water to help prevent root rot. Palmer has updated the classic garden center terracotta pot design with a clean-lined, minimal version that has the same functionality with an elevated look.
