Chlorophytum comosum, commonly know as the spider plant, is hands-down one of the easiest, and most enjoyable beginner houseplants to own. It's named the spider plant because of the spider-like plants, or spiderettes, that grow from the mother plant.

Medium to bright indirect light. Tolerates lower light, but may grow less vigorously.

Water requirements

Allow top few inches of soil to dry out in between watering.

Great for pet-loving households, pet safe and non-toxic.

Care tips

Spider plants grow smaller spiderettes that can be easily propagated!
