The Calathea lancifolia, widely known as the Rattlesnake Plant, has long green leaves with striking markings and purple undersides.
CARE + MAINTENANCE
Light + temperature
Bright indirect light. Does not need direct sun but can benefit from morning light or southern exposure.
Temperature: 65 - 75°F
Keep soil damp but not overly moist. Mist occasionally.
Great for pet-loving households, Calathea are non-toxic to pets.
Calathea do not like to dry out, so lots of humidity and misting will help your plant thrive.
Why are the leaves on my rattlesnake plant curling?
When the plant is under watered or the air has become too dry because of lower humidity, this will typically happen. Place your plant in an area that has more humidity and ensure the plant is staying damp inside a pot with good drainage.
